## What is the Historian Portal?

The **Factry Historian Portal** is a centralized web-based interface for monitoring, managing, and supporting all your Historian instances across different sites. It offers real-time visibility into instance health, resource usage, and collector status from a single location. It extends Historian’s operational capabilities, helping teams ensure system uptime, stay on top of resource usage, and manage large-scale deployments more efficiently.

Access to the portal is restricted per client. Each client only sees their own registered Historian instances.

## Why use it?

The portal helps you:

- Detect and resolve infrastructure issues early
- Monitor collector connectivity and system load
- Manage license usage across multiple instances
- Configure and receive alerts based on system health metrics
- Download the latest supported software binaries in one place

It is especially useful for IT teams, system integrators, and centralized support roles.

## How does it fit in the system?

While Factry Historian focuses on data collection, processing, and visualization, the **Portal** provides operational oversight and support tooling. It complements the Historian by offering a top-down view across multiple deployments, useful for scaling, maintenance, and reliability.

## Features
