Configuration
prerequisites the excel add in for factry historian should be installed if you have not done so yet, please installation docid\ thr5adnflww ercfy68qn factry historian must be available over https with a valid and trusted certificate to use the excel add in the url for your factry historian instance your excel instance (desktop or web) should be able to establish a network connection to factry historian an api token for a user with read privileges for the organization(s) you will configure read our guide on obtaining an api token docid vr6prldwhulaweklzwol if you have not configured a token yet configuring the excel add in for use click the factry historian icon in the home ribbon a task pane will appear on the right side click the 'add connection' button to configure your first connection give this connection a unique and clear name, and enter the connection details you obtained as prerequisites click 'list organizations' to display the list of organizations available to you and select one from the list next, click 'add connection' if the connection details are incorrect an error will appear your newly created connection will appear in the list of “configured historian api’s” click the 'help' button to browse the available function the excel add in provides to query data from your factry historian installation
