## Configuration

Available at `Configuration > Tasks`, when clicking the settings icon, are the following fields:

### Available workers

**Description:** The number of workers available for distribution among the different worker pools within the organization

### Worker count

**Description:** For each worker pool, you can configure the specific number of workers allocated to it. Please note that a worker pool will maintain a minimum of one worker, regardless of the availability of workers.

### Duration to keep finished tasks

**Description:** How long finished tasks are kept before an hourly cleanup task deletes them. This setting accepts duration string literals, eg `1w2d7h15m`. Set to `0d` to keep them forever.
**Default:** 0d

## Viewing a task

Available at `Configuration > Tasks`, when viewing a task, are the following fields:

### ID

**Description:** The UUID of this particular task

### Type

**Description:** The type of task this is.

### Started on

**Description:** When the task was started

### Finished on

**Description:** When the task finished

### Progress

**Description:** The progress of the task, shown while it is not done yet

### Attributes

**Description:** The attributes of the task, when it has any

This detailed view provides granular information about the task, aiding in monitoring and management. A failed task will also have an error message here providing more info on why the task may have failed.

## Task Management and Monitoring

The Worker Pools feature is designed to manage the execution of concurrent tasks. Worker Pools can be allocated to specific types or groups of tasks, each with customizable configurations.

### Accessing Task Overview

1. Navigate to `Configuration > Tasks`.

The interface presents a comprehensive list of all active, queued, and pending tasks. Each entry displays the task state, type, subject, and current progress.

- **Task State**: A task can have one of the following states:
  - Pending
  - Running
  - Paused
  - Done
  - Failed
  - Canceled

### Task Actions and Details

From this overview, you can execute several actions on individual tasks. Pause, Resume and Cancel are only available for recalculation, parquet export and measurement data deletion tasks; for every other task type the buttons are not shown.

- **Pause**: Temporarily halts the execution of the task.
- **Resume**: Continues the execution of a paused task.
- **Cancel**: Terminates the task.
- **Delete**: Removes the task, only tasks that are done, failed or canceled can be deleted
