Requirements for LDAP authentication
Before configuring LDAP authentication, ensure you meet these prerequisites to ensure a smooth and successful setup process.
General Requirements for both Factry Historian and Grafana
To successfully setup LDAP authentication, the following requirements must be met:
- Ability to retrieve the connection details such as
- Host
- BindUser DN and password
- BaseDN
- Search filter
- Search base DNS
- Connection from Factry Historian/Grafana to the LDAP server
- Port 389 is allowed for LDAP without TLS
- Port 636 is allowed for LDAPS with TLS
Requirements for Factry Historian
Before starting, make sure you have administrator privilegesadministrator privileges in Factry Historian.
Requirements for Grafana
Before starting, make sure you have:
- Server Admin permissions
- An installed Grafana version of v11.3.0 or higher
